Renewwal of Permits/Licenses

DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND COASTAL RESOURCES (DECR) – ATTENTION ALL NATIONAL PARKS LICENSE USERS

 

 The Department of Environment and Coastal Resources (DECR) would like to remind the general public and companies that applications and renewals for operating commercially within the National Parks, Turks and Caicos Islands  begin on June 01st 2010. All operators are reminded to ensure that their establishment/Vessels are licensed for the upcoming season July 1st, 2010.

 Please be advised that persons seeking to apply for National Parks User Licenses are required to have copies of the following:

·         An up-to-date business license 2010/2011

·An up-to-date Maritime inspection certificate 2010/2011

·All applicants need to include details of any changes or modifications to vessels with accompanying photographs of these modifications

·Valid identification (Passport, Work Permit, Permanent Resident Certificate, etc.)

·Completed application form NP2

 In addition, first time applicants also require:

·Proof of life – saving equipment (Life Jackets, Flares {Flare guns are prohibited}, spot light, VHF Radio, fire extinguisher etc.)

·Recent photographs of the vessel (of the bow, stern, port and starboard; engine and trim)

·Proof of ownership of vessel (Bill of Sale) and title if available.

·Specification: length overall, beam (width), draft, weight (tonnage), engine type and horse power.

 Any vessels with hard tops or “T” tops should have 12” lettering on the tops.

Any person contravening these regulations commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $50,000 or a term of imprisonment of 12 months or both.
